So terribly sad to report this, but the Texarkana 2020 Downtown Christmas has officially been cancelled. The plan was for a “Reverse Parade” but a lack of entries and other factors with the pandemic, and downtown construction the parade has been cancelled for this year.
Ina McDowell, Executive Director of Main Street Texarkana, has done everything she possibly could to make this year’s parade happen, but it is just not to be. The COVID 19 pandemic has been really tough on events this year. A lot of non-profits are struggling more than usual. Main Street has had to cancel dine on the line and now this.
