A local team of High School Investors recently took first place in the National SIFMA Foundation Capitol Hill Challenge Stock Market Game and received certificates and recognition from Congressman Pat Fallon during a recent Townhall Meeting.

Students from Atlanta High School in Cass County and their teacher had a pretend $100,000 to invest in stocks, bonds, etc… and with a return of 30% they won the competition, Senior Jagger Dyer, and Juniors Valerie Mason, Clayt Fant, and teacher Renee Rosser should have gotten to go to Washington DC to collect their prize and meet with their Congressman. Since COVID still has a lot to do with how folks are traveling they did not get to take the trip, Congressman Pat Fallon came to them at a Townhall Meeting at Texarkana College.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
