The Greater Texarkana Young Professionals group is hosting another night of “Destination Downtown” on Friday, October 8. The entertainment district is buzzing! Here is what you need to know.
Food, Fun, Entertainment, Shopping… ALL available in downtown Texarkana and this event puts the spotlight on some great people that have put a lot of work into the revitalization of the heart of Old Texarkana. Tickets for the event range from $25 for general admission to $50 for the VIP experience. For decades we have been promoting the history of downtown Texarkana and the possibilities, and to see it coming back is an amazing thing for our community. We are excited that our next decades will be the celebration of growth.

The evening will consist of food, fun, music and drinks for attendees. With your ticket you will receive a food sample from each restaurant under your ticket category, drink specials throughout the evening, live music throughout the evening, DJ experience at Crossties, ability to tour downtown art galleries, exclusive chance to checkout soon to be open venue, The Hangout and many more experiences that downtown Texarkana has to offer.
Music brought to you by Chace and Taryn at the Hopkins/El Frio stop. Heather Linn and Jase will be bringing it down on Broad Street and a DJ will keep things rolling down at Crossties.
Other downtown businesses will keep later hours for our event, so our guests can see the local shopping downtown has available. These businesses include but aren’t limited to Logan Electric, Harts on Broad, Moonstone and Moss, and more to come…
Schedule of Events:
5:15 pm – Check-in begins for VIP Admission at Pecan Point Gastropub & Brewery (213 Main Street, Texarkana TX, 75503)
5:45* pm – Check-in begins at El Frio (204 E 4th Street, Texarkana, AR, 71854)
6:00 pm – Kickoff on Wood St. between Hopkins Icehouse and El Frio Express
7:00 pm – relocate to participating businesses on Broad Street for continued entertainment
9:00 pm – relocate to Crossties and wrap up the evening with live entertainment
*Check-in will continue throughout the evening, locate a GTYP member with a name badge to pay or receive your ticket
