On Saturday, May 14 the City of Texarkana Texas hosts the Spring Community-Wide Yard Sale & Electronics Recycling Event at Spring Lake Park from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Space is available but going quick. Here are the details you need to know.

There are always bargains, deals, and special finds when the City of Texarkana hosts these community yard sales. (I found an awesome solid-wood carved dragon a couple of years back that makes a great door-stop.)

You can reserve a 20’x20′ booth space at the Southwest Center on 7th Street or reserve by phone at 903.798.3978, for only $15 bucks.

For those that have been hanging on to some big electronics, now is the time to get rid of them by recycling with UNICOR from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

    Among the items being accepted…

Answering Machines • Audio/Visual Equipment • Barcoding Equipment • Cable TV Boxes • Calculators • Cameras • CD ROM Drives • Circuit Boards • Communication Systems • Computer Equipment • Computer Scrap (Copper and Plastic) • Copiers • Desk Top Computers • DVD Players • Fax Machines • Floppy Drives • Game Boys • GPS Devices • Hard Drives and Memory • Ink/Toner Cartridges • Laboratory Equipment • Laptops • Mainframes and Servers • Microfiche Readers • Microscopes • Modems • MP3 Players • Nintendos • Oscilloscopes • PDAs • Peripherals • Phones (cell, desk, digital VOIP, satellite, and secure) • PlayStations • Plotters • Power Supplies • Printers • Telephone/Systems • Telescopes • Flatscreen Televisions • Test Equipment • Tower Computers • VCR Players • X-Boxes

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
