The 46th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival is scheduled for August 11-13 with 3 days of fun, games, food, activities, top-notch entertainment, and some of the best Watermelons in the country. Here is a schedule for this year.
The theme for 2022 is “Rockin’ it to the Rind”.
Start the week off on Monday, August 8, with the Watermelon Festival Parade beginning at 6:00 pm.
Hours for 2022:
Thursday, August 11 – 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Friday, August 12 – 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
Saturday, August 13 – 9:00 am to End of Uncle Kracker Concert

The Hope Watermelon festival features numerous activities including arts & crafts, food, entertainment and other family-oriented activities. Local civic clubs hold dinners featuring such down-home fare as locally grown smoked chicken and golden fried catfish. What else can you do at the festival? You can participate in a 5 k race, participate in Watermelon Olympics, enter the “Watermelon Idol” talent contest, browse the car show, and have a blast in the Kidz Zone.
