The 2022 Veterans Day Parade in downtown Texarkana is scheduled for Saturday, November 12 at 11:00 am. Please, take the time to attend for the many Veterans that participate. It would be great to see a big turnout.

Yes, Veterans Day is Friday, November 11, 2022, but the downtown Texarkana Veterans Day Parade will start on Broad Street in downtown Texarkana on Saturday at 11:00 am with big hopes that more people will be able to attend. You, your business, civic organization, church, and even politicians, all are invited to participate. If you have a classic car or motorcycle, or you wanna join in on one of those scooters downtown, call Greg Beck at 903.556.1613.

We know we have very few veterans of WWII still living, not many Korean War Veterans are still living and Veterans of the Vietnam War are dying at a rate of 390 per day.

(With this, I want to say to the many younger veterans we have here. Look at the VFW, even Greg Beck himself will tell you that you younger vets need to get in the VFW and carry on with it as leadership. Not just hang out and drink beer, but get involved in the many programs and resources available for so many men and women through the organization.)

For more information to participate, volunteer, or enter the parade get with Greg Beck at 903.556.1613, or email USMCGreg@aol.com.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
