The Miller County Sheriff’s Department has issued an information update in their search for the missing Miller County man Robert William Brown, 77. Brown, last seen on March 1 in the area of Private Road 1209 on Hwy 82, has intensified as multiple agencies and volunteers have joined the effort.

Miller County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) issued a plea to the public, urging anyone with information about Mr. Brown’s whereabouts to contact them at 870-774-3001. Since his disappearance, the community has rallied together in a coordinated search operation.

Today, the search operation expanded with more resources deployed compared to previous days. Additional dog teams, ground teams, and a civil air patrol plane have been mobilized to assist in the search efforts. Notably, the Civil Air Patrol has deployed three ground teams, and Arkansas Game Wardens are also actively involved.

Various organizations have come forward to support the search operation. The Red Cross provided breakfast, while the Baptist Men’s Association supplied lunch for the volunteers and search teams. Christian Aid Ministries, operating from Arkansas and Oklahoma, is leading the search planning efforts.

In a recent update, Miller County Sheriff’s Office detectives have been actively distributing flyers in downtown Texarkana and around homeless shelters to gather any potential leads. Businesses along Hwy 82 toward Texarkana and residential areas heading in that direction have also been canvassed. Additionally, search warrants have been secured to examine Mr. Brown’s bank accounts for any recent activity that might provide clues to his whereabouts.

The collaborative effort involves agencies from various counties, including Grant and Howard counties, as well as Sebastian County. Bowie County’s search and rescue team, along with their dog team, is also participating in the search.

As the search for Robert Brown Jr. continues, MCSO urges the public to reach out with any information that could aid in locating him. Detective Poole can be reached at 870-774-3001.

As the search efforts persist, the community remains hopeful for Mr. Brown’s safe return.

For those wishing to provide information, please contact Miller County Sheriff’s Office at 870-774-3001.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
