After being contacted by numerous followers we looked into the ongoing struggles of residents at Robison Terrace, the high-rise low-income apartment complex in Rose Hill. No heat last winter, no AC as we head into summer, we speak with Antonio D. Williams, CEO of Village Communities of Texarkana to see what measures are being taken to correct the problems.
Mr. Williams shares the reasons for the issues and what’s being done to remedy the problem. Residents do have options to stay cool, but with many on oxygen or dealing with other medical issues, it is urgent that repairs are made quickly. Village Communities has reconnected with contractors at Mechanical Concepts to identify and correct the problems from a very old HVAC system.
Some short-term options available for residents are portable ac units, fans, and even some hotel rooms are available to beat the heat until repairs are made.
We do our best to focus on the many positives of our hometown, like the many events and activities here. This is not our “usual reporting”, but after so many people contacted us, we felt obligated to do what we can to help. We will update you when the issues are repaired, and try keep you informed on the process.
