Christie Tate’s E Radio Network has announced the acquisition of five stations and four translators in and around the Texarkana area from the Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation trust managed by Roddrick B Newhouse.
Newhouse, acting as trustee, oversaw the divestment of Robert Delgiorno’s failed Freed AM Corp. and MLS Broadcasting after Delgiorno ceased operations last November, leading to a subsequent bankruptcy filing. E Radio Network has agreed to pay $325,000 for the purchase, which includes former stations such as “ESPN 94.1” KTRG in Hooks/Texarkana TX, “Fox Sports Texarkana” 1400 KKTK/97.1 K246CR in Texarkana TX, Classic Country “Caddo Country 105.3” KNCB-FM in Vivian LA, Rock “K104” 1320 KNCB/104.1 K281CY in Vivian LA, and Classic Country “Caddo Country” 670 KHGZ/98.9 K255BH/107.9 K300DJ in Glenwood AR.
The ESPN Radio affiliation previously held by KTRG was transferred to Local First Media Group’s 940 KTFS/105.9 K290CP in Texarkana at the beginning of 2024.
These newly acquired stations will complement E Radio Network’s existing pair of stations in Greenville TX, which include “ESPN 1400” KGVL Greenville/105.9 K290AP Commerce/107.7 K299BZ Caddo Mills and Country/AC “93.5 The Coyote” KIKT Cooper.
Excluded from the deal are 900 KPYN and translators 95.5 K238BF and 103.9 K280GV in Atlanta TX.
