Start your holiday season on a healthy note by participating in the 11th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K, presented by the Community Healthcore Foundation. The race will take place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and promises a fun, family-friendly way to kick off the holiday season while supporting a great cause.
Community Healthcore, a local non-profit agency serving nine counties in Northeast Texas—including Bowie, Cass, and Red River Counties—provides essential mental health services, support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use treatment, and assistance for homeless veterans. All proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit the Community Healthcore Foundation, funding client services, unmet needs, and other assistance programs that lack a dedicated funding source.
In addition to the 5K run, there will be a Kid’s Fun Dash, making this event perfect for families and individuals of all ages. Participants are encouraged to bring their energy and holiday spirit as they race to support the vital work of Community Healthcore.
The race will proceed regardless of weather conditions, and no refunds will be issued for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.
For more information, including registration details, race day schedules, and how to get involved, visit the Turkey Trot 5K Website. Your participation in this event helps improve the lives of those in need throughout Northeast Texas.
