The holiday season is kicking off all weekend in Texarkana with the Junior League of Texarkana’s 38th Annual Mistletoe Market, happening November 21–23 at the Texarkana Texas Convention Center on Cowhorn Creek Road. This three-day holiday shopping tradition brings together a wide variety of vendors offering home décor, festive gifts, clothing, accessories, gourmet treats, and plenty more to help you jump-start your Christmas list. Families can enjoy special holiday activities throughout the weekend—including photos with Santa—making it a perfect stop for all ages. Event hours run from Noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Proceeds from the market support the Junior League’s ongoing community projects benefiting children, families, and education across the region.
If you’re looking for a truly one-of-a-kind entertainment experience this weekend, the Historic Perot Theatre is delivering something straight out of 1985—literally. At 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, the Perot will screen Back to the Future with the full Texarkana Symphony Orchestra performing the score live, perfectly synced to the film. Fans can relive the adventures of Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and that iconic time-traveling DeLorean on a massive high-definition screen while Alan Silvestri’s legendary music surrounds the audience in real time. The evening will even feature 20 minutes of brand-new music composed exclusively by Silvestri for these special live presentations. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or sharing the movie with a new generation, this is a rare chance to experience a classic in a completely new way — and one of the most exciting events to hit downtown Texarkana this year.
