The 2017 Fall Gathering of Authors will take place Friday and Saturday, October 27 and 28 at the Texarkana Arkansas Convention Center. This unique event focuses on the many talented writers here in our area and raises funds that save lives.
The Fall Gathering of Authors began in 2010 and has continuously grown into the largest dual event raising funds for both the Arkansas Children’s Hospital and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. From gatheringofauthors.com,
We combine the importance of literacy and giving into one. We bring in authors from all around to share their books, speak and do autographings at the event. These wonderful authors have become like family to this event and together we all work hard to raise money for these two remarkable hospitals that do nothing but save children’s lives. Please join our Gathering family and be a part of our event.
The book signing main event takes place at the Texarkana Arkansas Convention Center on Saturday October 28 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be dozens of authors with more guest still to confirm. Kids activities, including face-painting, a kid’s corner, and book readings. Vendors, Door Prizes, Treasure Hunt, and Dream Catcher’s Book.
