Atwoods Ranch and Home is bringing a new store to Nash Texas and bringing approximately 40 jobs with it. City officials in Nash have worked on this deal for more than a year and were able to secure the deal with the help of the Texas Capital Fund grant.
We spoke with Nash City Administrator Doug Bowers who told us,
The City of Nash is extremely excited about Atwoods Ranch and Home locating in Nash. The
location will be off of Emerald Drive and the soon to be constructed Atwoods Drive. We started
working diligently with Atwoods, the property developer, and the property owner on the concept
approximately 1 year ago. A Texas Capital Fund grant was awarded by the Texas Department of
Agriculture to construct a north-south access road that will connect the Interstate frontage road
(Mall Drive) with Emerald Drive. The Texas Capital Fund supports business development,
retention, and expansion by providing funds for public infrastructure. Atwoods will create over
40 jobs within the City of Nash and it is our hope that it will also spur further growth and job
creation with the City.
Atwoods Ranch and Home has been in business 54 years and currently has more than 2,000 employees, in 57 stores located throughout Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
The new store will be 71,000 square feet and constructed on 10 acres of land that is part of a 47-acre commercial development located between Kings Highway and North Pecan Street and listed by Gerald Haire Realty.
