The Miller County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police are investigating the in-custody death of an inmate. Anthony Corey Bradley, 47, of Texarkana, Arkansas was found unresponsive inside the Miller County Jail at approximately 5 pm on Sunday, June 8.

    Press Release:

On Sunday, July 8 at approximately 5pm while conducting routine checks, members of the Miller County Detention Center Staff noted that a prisoner, Anthony Corey Bradley, B/M 47 of Texarkana, Arkansas was unresponsive.  Detention Center medical personnel and staff responded to treat Bradley, and simultaneously notified EMS. Attempts to resuscitate Bradley were unsuccessful. Pursuant to policy, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office notified the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division to initiate an investigation.  Mr. Bradley’s body was submitted to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for a determination regarding the cause of death. Mr. Bradley was being housed alone in a cell, and had no physical interaction with other inmates or Detention Center Staff other than routine interaction. Mr. Bradley had been held on a Probation Violation for a previous criminal offense since 7/6/18.

The investigation is ongoing while ASP and MCSO await final results from the Medical Examiner.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
