The Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department has announced they will be adding an A.D.A Swingset Area at Wallace Park.
Thanks to grant funding through the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, the Parks & Rec. Department will be upgrading a customary swing set at Wallace Park to a wheelchair accessible swing set.
The new play area will feature ADA swings and “new generations swings”, where the parent and child will be able to swing together face to face. There will also be a new ramp installed and a pour-in-place rubber surface for easy movement of wheelchairs.
