The Texarkana Texas Police Department has been conducting active shooter scenario training drills at the Tex-Americas Center for the last couple of weeks and we were invited to join them today. Watch!
More than 100 officers have participated in outdoor active shooter drills over the last two weeks, using “simunition” which fires a soap-like marker substance that STINGS. The officers have covered mock arrests, shootouts, hostage situations and more in this training.
We appreciate the efforts of these officers doing their best to stay prepared to keep our Texarkana citizens safe.
