    Annual Fishing Derby Kicks Off with Success in Texarkana

    The Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department is hosting its annual 2-day fishing derby at Spring Lake Park, and it was a great first day for anglers and volunteers.

    The Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department took to its Facebook page to announce the successful launch of the Annual Fishing Derby. The first day of the event saw enthusiastic participation, setting the stage for another fantastic day of fishing ahead.

    “We are set for tomorrow and another wonderful weather day!” exclaimed the department, expressing gratitude for the favorable conditions expected for the second day of the derby.

    The department extended their thanks to the school districts that participated in the event, highlighting their contribution to its success. Anticipation is high for another day of fishing fun, with the department eagerly awaiting the participation of more anglers tomorrow.

    Additionally, the Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department expressed immense gratitude to the sponsors whose generosity made the event possible. Their support has played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the Annual Fishing Derby and providing an enjoyable experience for all participants.

    As the derby continues into its second day, organizers encourage residents to join in the festivities and enjoy a day of outdoor recreation and community camaraderie at this beloved Texarkana tradition.
