Two students at Prescott High School in Prescott, Arkansas have been arrested for having firearms on campus, and one of the pistols was accidentally fired in a boys bathroom.
Prescott Police report that two male students aged 16 and 17 were showing the weapons to friends when one of the guns discharged inside a boys bathroom at the school. Nobody was injured in the accidental discharge.
Both students were found at a nearby apartment complex. Police also discovered the two small caliber firearms when they were arrested without incident. Both students have been charged with possession of a firearm on school property and aggravated assault.
Authorities in Nevada County also report that the two students have been charged with breaking and entering and theft of property in a string of auto burglaries, where the pistols that the boys had were stolen.
