The Opportunities Inc. “Big Bass Classic” bass tournament has been rescheduled due to rising lake levels at Wright Patman and Millwood Lakes, and more rain is in the forecast.

The 26th Annual Big Bass Classic and the Big Bass Bash that kicks off the weekend have been rescheduled to June 24th and 25th.

    From the Event Page:

Due to rising lake levels, and the forecast for even more rain, the Opportunities Big Bass Classic has been POSTPONED until June 24-25. All current registrations will be automatically registered for the event in June.

Join us for the 26th Annual Big Bass Classic Fishing Tournament!

The Big Bass Blast Expo & Auction will kick off the tournament Friday, June 24 at 6pm. Come register for the tournament, and enjoy Naaman’s BBQ, drinks, a “Best of the Live” Auction and silent auction with over 100 items, and lots of fun for the whole family!

Saturday morning, June 25, bring the kids for the 3rd Annual Little Big Bass Kids’ Derby at 9am at the lake at Ferguson Park. Registration is FREE and is open to kids ages 12 and under. Winners will be announced and prizes will be given on the main stage at Four States Fairgrounds at 11:30am, prior to the Big Bass Classic weigh-in.

Weigh-in for the 2016 Big Bass Classic Fishing Tournament begins June 25 at 12pm on the main stage at Four States Fairgrounds. The grand prize winner receives his or her choice of $10,000 or a Tracker Bass Boat, as well as a championship ring from Crocker’s Jewelers. Top 10 winners and even weight prizes will also be awarded.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
