Law enforcement have dropped the second degree battery charges against 70-year-old Norma Toussaint who was arrested after using a switch on a Granddaughter that was talking back and sassing her.

The grandmother was arrested by Hot Springs Arkansas Police after the 12-year-old granddaughter called 911 after her grandmother pulled a switch from a bush in the front yard and gave the kid a few swats on the arm for back-talking her. Police told Toussaint that she should not have hit the child on the arm and arrested her. Prosecutors have now dropped the charges against her, and confirms that the grandmother was just trying to discipline the child.
