Families across the Texarkana area are invited to experience what Scouting is all about at Cub Fun Day – Heroes & Helpers, happening Saturday, October 11th from 9 AM to 12 PM with the Caddo Area Council.
This community-wide event is open to everyone — whether you’re already part of Scouting or just curious about joining the fun. Kids will have the chance to meet and interact with local heroes, including firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other first responders, who will be on hand with demonstrations and equipment displays.
The morning will also feature a Touch-a-Truck experience, giving families an up-close look at big rigs, service vehicles, and emergency units.
Young adventurers can test their skills with archery, slingshots, rock climbing, rocket launches, and Bobcat Academy — plus, there will be plenty of food and fun throughout the event.
Adding to the theme of helping others, LifeShare Blood Center will be on-site for blood donations. Organizers encourage anyone willing and able to donate — reminding everyone that “not all heroes wear capes.”
It’s a great opportunity for kids and parents alike to discover the excitement of Scouting while celebrating the everyday heroes who keep our community safe.
For more information, visit the Caddo Area Council Facebook Page online or stop by the event this Saturday — and don’t forget to bring your Scouting spirit!
