The Miller County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Zachary McMorris, 28, from Hope, Arkansas for Theft of Property and Breaking or Entering. Deputies also recovered stolen property valued a $125,000.

    Press Release:

On Sunday, April 8, 2018 at approximately 1pm, Miller County Deputies responded to a farm located on Hwy. 67 in Miller County in reference to a farm equipment theft. Deputies determined that suspects had entered the farm area and removed over $125,000.00 worth of equipment, including a large tractor, pickup, 2 zero turn mowers and a trailer. Miller County Sheriff’s Investigators responded to the scene and began their investigation.

On Monday, April 9, Miller County Investigator Sam McJunkins obtained Felony Warrants for Zachary McMorris, B/M, 28 years of age from Hope, Arkansas for Theft of Property and Breaking or Entering.

On Tuesday, April 10 McMorris was arrested in Sevier County, Arkansas on the Miller County Theft and B&E charges. Subsequently recovered was the stolen pickup. Working in conjunction with both Sevier County Sheriff’s Office and the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma, investigators recovered the John Deere tractor. The trailer and one of the zero turn commercial mowers was recovered in Miller County. The second zero turn mower was recovered in Hempstead County.
