Free Rabies Vaccinations and City Registrations Offered at 8th Annual Bark At The Park

Texarkana pet owners, rejoice! The 8th Annual Bark At The Park is set to take place on Saturday, November 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, offering free rabies vaccinations and city registrations for both dogs and cats.

The event will be held at the Kylee Sullivan Dog Park located inside Spring Lake Park, just off the Mall Drive entrance.  In addition to the free vaccinations and registrations, other vaccinations will also be available for a minimal fee, with all paperwork and vaccinations completed on-site.
Organizers remind attendees to ensure all dogs are on leashes and cats are securely in carriers throughout the event.
Mashell Daniel, Director of Development Services, highlighted the event’s longstanding impact on Texarkana pet owners.  “We are committed to offering these valuable resources to Texarkana and its neighboring communities annually,” Daniel said. “Our mission is to raise awareness and enhance the well-being of pets and their families in need.”
The importance of rabies vaccinations was emphasized, with organizers noting that rabies is fatal to both animals and humans, and treatment for exposure can be expensive. Proactive vaccinations are highlighted as the best line of defense against such diseases. Veterinarians and animal control staff will also be on hand to answer questions and provide pet care advice.
This event is open to everyone, including those who live outside Texarkana city limits.  For more information, call (903) 798-3535. You can also follow their Facebook event page for updates.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
