T.T.F.D. Hosts Free Child Safety Seat Checks on Friday August 26


The Texarkana Texas Fire Department will be conducting free child safety seat checks at the Fire Station located at 4315 Summerhill Road on Friday August 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..

Taking place at the Summerhill Road Fire Station, on Friday August 26, there will be experts on hand to make sure your seat is safe, and installed correctly. Qualified Texas state residents with sub-standard seats will be able to receive a replacement seat. This event is sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation and the Northeast Traffic Safety Coalition.

To qualify you must bring proof of residency like a utility bill, and proof of government assistance such as a WIC or Medicaid card. The child using the seat must be present at the event, and parents must know the weight and height of the child.
