Yes, 2020 has been all the way twisted up, what with a global pandemic and all, but many local folks are searching out ways to still enjoy ourselves and stay safe this Halloween. Here are some events taking place in our area.
Crossties Halloween Extravaganza – October 31
The First Annual Crossties Halloween Extravaganza is Saturday, October 31st. From 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, there will be games, trick or treating, and more family fun on the lawn. Then the big show inside kicks off at 7:00 PM. Crossties is located at 324 East Broad, in the Railyard District, of downtown Texarkana, AR. Lots of great entertainment is lined up, Janie Slash performing Burlesque Stilts, MJ Footworks performing as Michael Jackson, Richard Garcia performing as Tupac Shakur, Aerial Performances by Spinner Entertainment… and More! There will be lots of free entertainment on the lawn, including movies on the wall starting at 6:00 pm.
Boo Bagger Bash – October 31
The Boo Bagger Bash! This will be a fun twist on the traditional trunk or treat. Happening October 31st at Capital Burger on N. Stateline to trick or treat amongst the motorcycles and play some fun games! Trunk or Treat in the parking lot and Capital Burger will be open with its full menu available until 10:00 that night to serve you.
Texarkana Texas Trunk or Treat – October 31
Don’t miss out on the Texarkana Texas Parks Department “Trunk or Treat in Spring Lake Park” on Halloween afternoon. This is a drive-thru event. All traffic will enter the park from Mall Drive, drive around the block where the decorated vehicles will be parked to collect your treats, and then exit back out that same way to Mall Drive.
To be sure that we can all social distance and stay safe, we ask that everyone stay in your car as you go through the event. We will deliver the treats to you at your vehicle as you stop at each location. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate anyone who simply walks up. Bark at the Park – October 31
This is a community-wide event offering FREE rabies vaccination for all dogs and cats of all pet owners. The event will be this Saturday, October 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the pavilion near the Kylee Sullivan Dog Park in Spring Lake Park, Texarkana, Texas.
Fall Car Show – October 31
On Saturday, October 31 starting at 8:00 am, at the Four States Auto Museum in downtown Texarkana it is the annual Fall Car Show featuring live music from Locked & Loaded, food and drinks from 67 Landing, fun games, and just a whole lot of fun for everyboyd, especially with all of the other activities taking place Saturday.
