Police have arrested Gregory Williams, 49, of Texarkana Arkansas, for allegedly firing shots at another vehicle following a minor traffic accident at the intersection of Summerhill Road and W. 13th Street.

    Press Release:

The Texarkana Texas Police Department arrested Gregory Williams, 49, of Texarkana Arkansas, on Tuesday afternoon after he fired shots at another vehicle following a crash.

Williams and another driver were involved in a minor vehicle crash at the intersection of Summerhill Road and West 13th Street at approximately 3:30 on Tuesday.  Williams became upset and fired several shots at the other vehicle from a pistol before driving away.  Officers located both vehicles within minutes of receiving the call.  Williams was found standing behind his Jeep Wrangler in the parking lot of 1801 New Boston Road.  As officers pulled up, they saw that he was attempting to conceal a .380 pistol below a floor mat in the back hatch area of his vehicle.  He was taken into custody without incident.  The other driver located a TISD police officer that had been in the area and told them what had occurred.

Evidence found in Williams’ vehicle indicated that he had fired several shots from inside the vehicle, with some striking the interior.  Officers noted three bullet holes on the fender and hood of the other vehicle.

Williams was transported to the Bi-State Jail, where he remains in custody.  He is charged with two counts of Deadly Conduct and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.  His total bond has been set at $75,000.
