On July 2, 2015, local pilot Michael Scott Roberts, 40, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in his Texarkana Arkansas home. Two years later and the crime is still unsolved and under investigation.
The crime is still under investigation, and the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department continues to follow every lead. The department has received assistance from the FBI, and a retired investigator from the Texas Rangers working on the case as a consultant.
TAPD recently made a post on social media that almost seems like there may be some new information in the case:
25 months have passed since Scott Roberts was murdered in his home in Texarkana, Arkansas. This was no random act. We know that someone local knows what happened on July 2nd, 2015. Understand this. We will never stop investigating every whisper spoken and every fragment of evidence.
If you know something, say something.
If you did this, you know you made a mistake and we have it.
God bless the Roberts family and all the investigators who endeavor to solve Scott’s murder.

In a previous blog post, the TAPD Information Officer told us:
The Scott Roberts case remains an active homicide investigation. Several new detectives have been assigned to the case to review evidence, case files, and witness statements. Detectives continue to follow up on new leads and spend every available hour of every week trying to identify new information that can be followed up on. We will continue to explore all possibilities and leads as they are identified. TAPD has determined that there are at least one, possibly two persons, that have further information concerning this case. TAPD urges anyone with any information regarding Scott to please come forward and speak with detectives. Although it may seem insignificant it quite possibly could bring justice to Scott Roberts.
Family and friends of Scott, have an active GoFundMe Page to raise reward money, offered for information that would lead to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible. The amount at this point is $10,110, and there is an additional $1,000 reward available from CrimeStoppers.
If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, please share it with investigators. Contact the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department at (903) 798-3154 or contact them thru their Facebook Page.
