The Texarkana Arkansas Police arrested George Hayden Tong, 21, of Fulton, Arkansas at a Motel in Texarkana on a murder charge in the death of a 38-year-old woman in Nevada County Arkansas.
Late Wednesday night Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a shooting. Deputies discovered the body of Lucia Smith, 38, at a home on Nevada 55 in Emmet, Arkansas. Witnesses to the crime identified George Tong, 21 as the shooter.
With cooperation between the Hempstead County, Nevada County, the Hope Police Department and TAPD, Tong was found at a motel in Texarkana and placed under arrest. Tong has been transported to Nevada County where he will face a first-degree murder charge.
