The Nash Texas Police Department recently won a $3,000 award from TxDOT for their efforts to protect the community by participating in the Memorial Day Click it or Ticket program.

    Press Release:

The Nash Police Department received a $3,000 check from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) this week for its participation in the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket Mobilization campaign.

The check is one of 15 presented by the department as part of an incentive program to encourage law enforcement agencies to participate in the program.  The 15 winners are chosen at random from the 132 agencies participating in the program statewide.

The agencies can use the funding to purchase more enforcement equipment, training of officers or safety education programs for the public.  The office has until Sept. 30, 2017 to use the funds.

To be eligible for the program, agencies must participate in the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket Mobilization campaign and have all their enforcement activities logged and reported.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
