Reports are that the new Head Football Coach and Athletic Director for the Texas High Tigers will be Gerry Stanford, head coach of Flower Mound Marcus since 2014.
Stanford took the position of Head Football Coach for the Marcus Marauders with the Lewisville Independent School District in 2014. In the three seasons that Stanford has been at Marcus, the team’s record is 20-12. Stanford says that he has been in talks with officials for T.I.S.D about coming to Texarkana for the last three weeks and that the final decision was made on Thursday afternoon. All that is left before the deal is completely done is approval by the school board.
