T.T.P.D. is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Beverly Neighborhood of Texarkana, Texas around 6:30 this evening. Reports are that one man was transported to a local hospital. No word on the severity of his injuries.
Witnesses report that it was a young man that was injured and transported to a local hospital before the arrival of police units to the corner of Conella and Reading streets. Witnesses report that police could be seen searching the scene, presumably for evidence of the shooting.
Sergeant Geoff Lewis of the T.T.P.D. told us,
The investigation is ongoing, I will have further details in the morning.
