An investigation is underway at the Bi-State Building after a 20-year-old female inmate was found in “medical distress” alone in her cell at 4:00 a.m. this morning.

TAPD is currently investigating the in custody death of Morgan Angerbauer, w/f 20yoa, of Texarkana AR. Angerbauer was found alone in her cell, and in what appears to be medical distress by the jail nursing staff and corrections officers shortly after 4:00 a.m. today. Efforts to revive Angerbauer were made without success. Angerbauer has been incarcerated at the Bi-State jail since June 28th, 2016. Her body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Pending autopsy results this investigation is ongoing.
