The experts at Stanton Studios in Waco, Texas have been hard at work to restore the 100-year-old stained glass windows at St. James Episcopal Church and today we were able to visit with Father Halt and Jordan Stanton about the project.
St. James Episcopal Church in downtown Texarkana was founded in 1876 and is one of the most beautiful churches in Texarkana. Over the last century stained glass windows have been exposed to candle soot, and layers of gunk from the gas lights of the early 1900s.
Over the last 8 months the professional artists at Stanton Studios in Waco have taken the windows and disassembled them, one little piece at a time they have painstakingly worked to bring them back to their original glory. We visit with Father David Halt and Jordan Stanton about the project…
Father Halt would be happy to take you through the church and tell you the stories from each window, just contact him to set a time. It would be a nice little adventure downtown for groups… follow them on FACEBOOK.
