The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department recognize local physician, Dr. Matt Young, for his years of Emergency Medical Treatment training for Texarkana SWAT officers.

The TAPD posted this to their Facebook Page:

Texarkana SWAT began incorporating emergeny medical treatment into our annual training syllabus many years ago. Dr. Matt Young has been with us the whole way, never waivering in his support of local law enforcement, whether it be training or an actual operational scenario. A sincere thank you to Dr. Matt Young and to Lifenet’s Brian Smith, who take time out of their schedules to spend the day training with us. Both are outstanding resources and special friends to our community!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
