The Texarkana community is rallying together once again for the 6th Annual “Wagons for Veterans” fundraiser, slated to take place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Four States Fairgrounds. Organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Texarkana Area Chapter #278, this event aims to raise funds to support local disabled and needy veterans from all eras, along with their families.
Attendees can expect a day filled with entertainment and activities for the whole family. The event will feature over 18 chuckwagons, along with other displays, local bands, a car show, Iron Munchers competition, antique tractors, bounce houses, square dancing, and more.
Gates will open at 10:30 am, with free admission for those who wish to explore the various displays and enjoy the festivities. For just $18 for adults and $9 for children aged 12 and under, guests can indulge in a delicious menu of food cooked the old-fashioned way – in cast iron pots over an open fire. The feeding will commence at 11:30 am and continue until all the food is gone.

The event will kick off with opening ceremonies at 11:15 am, followed by a live auction at 12:30 pm, offering attendees the chance to bid on unique items while supporting a worthy cause.
