Young basketball enthusiasts in Texarkana have the chance to showcase their free-throw shooting skills at the Texarkana Hoop Shoot Contest on Sunday, January 19th at We Are Washington (1900 Marietta Street, Texarkana, Arkansas).
The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free-throw shooting contest for boys and girls ages 8-13, designed to promote sportsmanship and skill development in a fun and exciting environment. Participants will compete in three age divisions: Ages 8-9, Ages 10-11, and Ages 12-13.
The contest provides a great opportunity for local youth to build confidence, make friends, and potentially advance to district, state, and even national competitions. Winners from the Texarkana contest will move on to higher levels, with the chance to represent their community.
Important Details:
- Age Group: Participants’ age group is determined by their age as of April 1, 2025.
- Attire: All participants should wear athletic attire and bring their best free-throw game.
- Open to All: The event is open to all kids within the qualifying age range. Parents and supporters are encouraged to come cheer on the contestants!
Each participant will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, and winners will be recognized with awards.
