Texarkana Man Arrested After Threatening Woman with Gun

The Texarkana Texas Problem Oriented Policing program, or “P.O.P. Team” made an arrest of a Texarkana man that had threatened a woman with a pistol. Kenneth Lee Neal, 46, of Texarkana Texas was arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct.

We arrested Kenneth Lee Neal, 46, of Texarkana Texas for Deadly Conduct today.

A third party told us that Neal pointed a pistol at a woman as he drove past her residence over the weekend. We located the victim in that incident and also learned that Neal had fired a weapon into the air while on his property in the 300 block of Waterman Street on several recent occasions. After interviewing witnesses who confirmed the victim’s allegations, the Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team then obtained an arrest warrant for Neal.

Neal was arrested without incidence late this afternoon after officers located him hiding in the attic of his home. He is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail. Bond has not yet been set.
