The podcast scene in Texarkana is booming, with more local podcasts now available than live radio shows. Among the most popular is the Joe Teel Podcast, created by Joe Teel, which features in-depth conversations with a wide range of local figures, including government officials, educators, entertainers, and even a finalist from Ink Masters.
Since launching in January 2024, Joe has produced 60 episodes, each lasting at least an hour. “That’s a lot of editing,” Joe notes, reflecting on the hard work behind the scenes.
In addition to his own podcast, Joe shared some of his favorite local shows and encouraged the community to explore Texarkana’s growing podcast landscape. You can follow along with many of our local stories by checking out the TexarkanaFYI Podcasts HERE.
The rise of podcasts reflects a shift in how people are consuming local content, offering more personalized and diverse options for staying informed and entertained.
