TexarkanaFYI.com has compiled a list of the biggest and best Fourth of July celebrations in the area. As you head out to celebrate, remember to prioritize safety, stay hydrated, and keep cool. Please note that it is against the law to set off fireworks within the Texarkana city limits. Here are some of the standout events happening on Thursday:
Wake Village – 4th of July Celebration
- When: Thursday, 6 PM to 9 PM
- Where: King’s Park
- Highlights: Live entertainment by Fabienne Thrash starting at 7 PM, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show shortly after 9 PM.
Texarkana – 4th of July Celebration
- When: Thursday, Starting at 6:30 PM
- Where: Hardy Memorial Methodist Church, 6203 N. Kings Highway
- Highlights: Live music, food trucks, and a fireworks display at dusk.
5th Annual Rhythm and Blues Fool Festival – July 4
- When: Starting at 2 PM
- Where: Crossties Front Street Plaza outdoor stage
- Highlights: All-day live entertainment, a $500 chess tournament, and a Grand Finale Fireworks show at dark.
4th of July Celebration – Ashdown, Arkansas
- When: Starting at 5 PM
- Where: Ashdown Junior High
- Highlights: Food trucks, artisan vendors, live music by the Michael Rhodes Band, and fireworks at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs.
Freedom Fest – New Boston, Texas
- When: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Where: Trailhead Park Pavilion
- Highlights: Family-friendly, Food, Drinks, and Live Music. Fireworks at dark.
Independence Day Celebration – Prescott, Arkansas
- When: Starting at 7:30 PM
- Where: Prescott High School
- Highlights: Family-friendly event with live music, food trucks, and an incredible fireworks show at dusk.
Stand Up for America + Fireworks Show – Nashville, Arkansas
- When: 5 PM to 9 PM
- Where: Nashville City Park
- Highlights: Fun and games, bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, vendors, live music by Ethan Kuntz aka Li’l Skinny and Joshua Kuntz aka JK Popstar, and a fireworks show at dark. Admission is $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 3-12, and free for children under 3.
Fireworks on Lake Hamilton – Hot Springs, Arkansas
- When: At dark
- Where: East side of Highway 7 at the first Highway 7 bridge opposite the Doubletree Inn
- Highlights: Fireworks over the lake. Tune in to US 97 (97.5) for music synced with the fireworks.
Fireworks and Freedom Celebration – Longview, Texas
- When: Thursday, starting at 6 PM
- Where: Longview Convention Complex
- Highlights: Live music, food vendors, and lots for the kids. Fireworks at dark.
KTBS Freedom Fest – Shreveport, Louisiana
- When: At Riverview Park, 601 Clyde Fant Pkwy
- Highlights: Dazzling fireworks display by Pyromania Fireworks, live performance by Shamarr Allen from New Orleans, a patriotic light show by Jason Lyons on the Bakowski Bridge of Lights on the Texas Street Bridge, and more.
