It’s time for the annual Battle on the Border Football game between rivals Texas High and Arkansas High. The game takes place this Friday night, September 2 with kick-off at 8:00 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in Grim Park.
No tickets will be sold at the gate on game night so advanced tickets must be purchased for the game. Arkansas High fans may purchase reserved tickets Monday through Friday, 8/29 through 9/2 at the Arkansas Razorback Athletic office from 8AM until 4:30PM Tuesday through Thursday and 8AM until 3PM on Friday. located at 1920 East 18th Street. Tickets are $8. For AHS students at the High School campus tickets will be sold on Thursday during all lunch periods this week for $5. For Texas High fans, game tickets are being sold in the Sullivan Performing Arts Center on Summerhill Road beginning 8/30, through 9/1, from 8AM until 5PM or until sold out. Ticket purchases are limited to 10 tickets per person.
For transportation to and from the game, fans are encouraged to use the shuttle system that has proven so successful in years past. Arkansas High fans will board at Razorback Stadium starting at 6:30 p.m. and be dropped off at the Southeast side of Tiger Stadium. Shuttle riders must have a game ticket for boarding with seats offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Return shuttles will begin at half-time and run until all fans are returned to their vehicle. Texas side shuttles will begin at 6:00 p.m. and run through the evening. Tiger fans will board the shuttle at the THS Student Parking lot at 4001 Summerhill Road and will be dropped off at a special North side entrance at Tiger Stadium.
