After days of heavy rain, we believe it will have all moved on just in time for Sunday’s festivities at the 80th Annual Four States Fair & Rodeo. This will give fairgoers their first chance this week to enjoy the full midway experience.
Sunday, April 6, marks a turning point in the celebration, with the Miller Spectacular Shows officially reopening on the midway at 1:00 p.m., bringing back the thrills, lights, and laughter that have made the fair a regional tradition for generations.
It’s still the Texarkana Emergency Center & Hospital Weekend, with Unlimited Ride Bands available for $35, making it a perfect day to make up for lost time and take full advantage of the rides and games.
In addition to the sunshine, today brings a heartfelt focus on the community’s older generation with Senior Citizens Day, sponsored by Dierkson Hospice. From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., seniors aged 55 and older receive free admission and can enjoy special activities in the Fine Arts Building, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere for everyone, no matter their age.
Adding to the afternoon fun, the Nighthawk Band will take the Outdoor Stage at 3:00 p.m., filling the fairgrounds with live music and keeping the energy high as families stroll the grounds.
As the midway lights flicker back on, Sunday is shaping up to be a comeback day at the Four States Fair — a perfect blend of sunshine, celebration, and community spirit.
