HOPE, AR – December 15, 2017 – The University of Arkansas Texarkana recently celebrated the pinning of the first Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) class from the Evening LPN Program at Texarkana. Eleven students received their nursing pins at the ceremony held at Hempstead Hall on the Hope campus.

The LPN program is a full-time, 11 month, selective admission program leading to a Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing.  It prepares students for licensure through the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-PN).  The program meets the requirements for accreditation by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
