    11-4-2020 – Updated COVID 19 Numbers for Texarkana Area

    Currently, with hospitals in the Texarkana area stretched to the limits, there are 592 active cases of COVID 19 in Bowie County. Cass County reports 59 active cases and Miller County reports 180 active cases. For any and all COVID related questions or concerns, please contact the local hotline at 903.255.5560.

    Miller County numbers are 1,345 total positive cases with 1,149 recoveries and 16 deaths.

    Media Release:

    TEXARKANA, TX— Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports 59 new cases since Tuesday, November 3, 2020 for a total of 2,127 positive COVID-19 cases, with 85 deaths. The Department of State Health Services is reporting 1,450 recoveries. There are currently 592 active cases in Bowie County.

    Cass County added 2 new cases and currently has 567 total, with 483 of those recovered, and 25 fatalities. Cass County currently has 59 active cases.

    Through the end of the year, free testing will be offered Monday- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana- Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available at www.gogettested.com.
