By Jeff Easterling on March 8, 2018 City News, Community Involvement

2018 brings us the 8th Annual “Pink Ride” to raise funds to assist local cancer patients in our area. This year’s events include live music, food, prizes and fun for all involved in this great event with an amazing group of people.

Pink Ride helps all cancer patients. The committee is committed to helping those in need in our community not just by helping cancer patients, but by also volunteering at other events. All that is needed to get hep is a cancer diagnosis and an unpaid medical bill, and Pink Ride will pay the bill directly to the provider as long as funds are available. That is why it is so important that we all come together to support this great cause.

She is beautiful to the eye because we all want to be beautiful to the eye. She is not a pin-up girl. She is naked because when you are told you have cancer it strips you of everything leaving you naked. Her ribbon gives her back her faith, hope and courage. Her wings are her past and her present. One wing takes her from her past to her present. Her motorcycle gives her wind and her freedom. ~ Diana Howard

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
