    2020 Bridge City Project Chili Cook-off Set for January 24 in Downtown

    The 2020 Bridge City Project Chili Cook-off happens on Friday, January 24 in downtown Texarkana from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be awards for Best in Theme “SUPERHERO” or “COMIC BOOK”, Best Taste in Texarkana, and People’s Choice.

    Admission for this event is free!

    The Chili Cook-off will be in downtown Texarkana in the lot across from the Salvation Army Center of Hope located at 400 E. 4th Street in Texarkana Arkansas.

    Media Release:

    Come enter your best chili and join the Texarkana Homeless Coalition in a night of fun!

    Funds raised through this event sponsored by Texarkana Homeless Coalition will be used to coordinate homeless services, fund scholarships,and for educational opportunities

    Chili entry is $25

    Yeti Cooler Raffle: Tickets $5 for 1 or $20 for 5
    Sold at the event or from a Coalition member

    Admission is free to the public

    There will be three categories of winners for the event:

    Best in Theme SUPERHERO or COMIC BOOK
    Best Taste in Texarkana
    People’s Choice

    The Chili Cook-Off is designed to be a challenge to community leaders, government officials, and residents to raise awareness and funds to reach out to a segment of our community who are most in need. The entry fee for the cook-off is $25 and contestants are asked to make enough chili for 50 people. Any leftovers will be given to the local shelters.
