2021 ‘Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex Contest’ Happens August 7

Get your best tomatoes off the vine and put that Salsa recipe to work, it is time for the 11th Annual “Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex Contest” at the Texarkana Farmer’s Market, 305 Texas Boulevard in downtown on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

This is Texarkana’s longest-running Salsa Contest, 2021 would have been the 12th year had it not been for skipping 2020.

A couple of things are different for 2021, participants are allowed to sell their salsa this year, but with that, each entry must be tested by the health department, it is FREE and EASY. Just make sure to bring an extra couple of ounces for them to test. In fact, reading it out loud they may be just trying to get some extra salsa. The conspiracy theorists may think the government is trying to figure out your top-secret salsa recipe. Some of the entries in years past are really that good! Nothing to it really.

Get more details to enter the contest, the rules, and more at TexarkanaFarmersMarket.com.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
