2021 New Boston ‘Pioneer Days Festival’ – Schedule of Events


The 50th New Boston Texas “Pioneer Days Festival” is coming up August 18-21, with lots of rodeo action, live entertainment, food, and more. Check out the schedule of events and activities for this year’s events at T&P Trailhead Park here.

This will be a great year, rodeo, KISS tribute band, Bo Duke himself John Schneider will perform, and a lot more on tap for 2021. It will be hot, but it will be a blast.

All kicks off with the weekend before the festival, on August 13th, and 14th with the Rodeo at the arena on FM992, starting each evening at 7:30 pm.

On Monday, August 16, the Treasure Hunt begins at 9:00 am. Clues will be posted daily on the Facebook Page.

On Wednesday, August 18, the Amusement Rides are open to the public from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (for tickets only).

Thursday, August 19 – Amusement Rides with $20 armbands available on the festival grounds. Vendors, concessions, arts and crafts from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The David Patillo/Kilgore Quartet concert will take place at FBC New Boston located at 506 McCoy Boulevard from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On the stage at the festival grounds, don’t miss KISS Tribute Band “Destroyer” at 8:30 pm.

Friday, August 20 – Amusement Rides with armbands, vendors, art & crafts, concessions, and more from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Don’t miss Joe Dale & Friends with the “Street Dance” on Friday night starting at 8:30 pm.

Saturday, August 21 – This is the BIG day! Saturday begins with the New Boston Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station #1 from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. The Pioneer Days Parade begins at 10:00 am. The Car Show is from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, registration from 8 to 10, judging from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and awards presented at 2:00 pm. Amusement Rides are available with armbands on festival grounds. There will be a $500 drawing from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with tickets available from the information booth, and a $1,000 drawing at 9:00 pm.
