The 2024 Fields of Faith event is set to bring together local athletes and the community on Wednesday, October 2, at Pleasant Grove Hawk’s Stadium. Hosted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Fields of Faith is a nationwide ministry where athletes gather in familiar sports environments to encourage their peers to engage with the Bible daily and strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now in its 12th year in Texarkana, Fields of Faith continues to grow in size and influence. Each year, more athletes and attendees are inspired to take part in this movement, which is part of FCA’s broader mission of building community through faith.

“This event is a powerful way for athletes to connect, inspire, and uplift one another through their shared love for both sports and their faith,” said an FCA representative. “It’s a unique opportunity for students and community members alike to come together in a meaningful way.”

For more information about the event, visit the Fields of Faith Facebook Event Page. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the event is free for all to attend.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
