    Press Release:

Texarkana, Texas: Wadley Regional Medical Center will be hosting its 2 nd Annual Breastfeeding
Celebration on Tuesday, August 7 th from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. The event will be held in the main
lobby of the hospital and will boast approximately 20 vendors that provide services or products
that benefit the breastfeeding mom and new or expectant moms. Every vendor will be providing
a door prize that will be drawn for at the end of the event. Each child will receive a book and
there will be a coloring station for children. There will also be demonstrations on how to handle
a child who is choking as well as demonstrations on CPR.

Wadley has long been known as the Birth Place of Texarkana and was the first hospital in
Texarkana to become a Texas 10 Step hospital and a Mother-Friendly Worksite. “Promoting
breastfeeding is important and we want to do all we can to support our moms who have chosen
to breastfeed,” says Carlotta Endsley, Wadley’s certified lactation consultant. “There are many
benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby.”

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
