Food enthusiasts and community supporters are gearing up for the 31st Annual ‘Taste of Texarkana,’ set to take place at the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center on Tuesday, October 22. This highly anticipated event, recognized as one of the top 5 Best Charity Events in Texarkana, promises an evening of gourmet flavors and lively entertainment, all for a good cause.

From 5 to 8 p.m., attendees can indulge in various dishes crafted by Texarkana’s finest restaurants and beverage distributors. Whether savory bites or sweet treats, there will be something to satisfy every palate. The event, known for its festive and family-friendly atmosphere, will also feature live entertainment on the center stage, adding to the vibrant ambiance.

The ‘Taste of Texarkana’ is not only a celebration of culinary talent; it also serves a greater purpose. All proceeds from the event will benefit Harvest Regional Food Bank’s hunger relief programs, supporting efforts to combat food insecurity in the region.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance at $25 for general admission ($30 at the door), with special pricing for children aged 6-10 at $10. Children under 5 can enter for free. For those looking to enhance their experience, VIP tickets are offered at $50, providing exclusive access to additional perks.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
